June 4, 2008

Ryker just had his first red popcicle, and he loved it as you can tell.
Lately we have been spending time outside with the nieghborhood kids, Paige and Quinn. They have a kiddy pool they play in all summer long.
Rory and Ryker had fun at the Bee's game. Ryker had fun talking to the people next to us but as soon as they would pay attention to him he would stop jabering(sp?) and just smile and laugh.

Rory and I at the Bee's game.
Walking to the car after the game.
Ryker's first Horse back ride with Grandpa Bowen.
Rolling the ball with Ryker's cousins Kaden and Kael.

Ryker is crawling now and he is all over the place. He will chase balls all over the house.
I was changing Ryker's diaper and he got a hold of the wipe and was pulling them out as fast as he could, what a cute little stinker!
Ryker's first hair cut. No more Mullet look, Yeah!
He was a little wiggley but he did pretty good.

My first Mothers Day!

I had a great mother's day, it was really busy. In the morning I got to talk to my brother Jason who is serving his mission in Frankfurt , Germany. It was really fun to talk to him and hear about what he has been doing. He is loving germany and he said the language it coming along. He also said that it is a pretty hard mission, but he is enjoying it. After talking with Jason I made breakfast for my family, I also made Chocolate covered strawberries for my grandmas and then had to bath three boys before church. I got some cute pictures of them in the tub. We woke Luke up from his nap to put him in the tub as you can see he wasn't too happy. When it was time to get out we had them all in tears. After church I had to help my Mom get the house and dinner ready for my Dad's side of the family to come over. Needless to say it was a busy day.
For Mother's day Rory got me and new digital camera, and I love it, but I am still trying to figure everything out it. Thanks Rory!

Wow, how time flies!

The other night I started a facebook online and I was looking for pictures to put on it and came across this one. This was the day we brought Ryker home from the Hospital. he was 11 days old. I had forgotten how small he really was. What a cute little stinker!
Here he is just few days ago. He seems huge when I look at this picture compared to the other one. I have loved being a mom, it is so fun! Melissa and Michealene you'll love it!

Taking Ryker to the Zoo

Last Friday I took Ryker to the Zoo. My Mom, Dad, Sister-in-law Alisha and her two kids(Trevor and Luke), and my cousin Trisha and her little boy Brady all came to the Zoo with Ryker and Me. I thought that Ryker would enjoy the Zoo a little more than he did, maybe he's still a little young. We all had fun though.

Trevor was scared to death of this elephant. he wouldn't even go near it, it was pretty funny.

Here's the Boys! Brady (left), Luke (middle left), Trevor(middle right),and Ryker (right).
My Mom and Dad, Steve and Carol. What a cute old couple!!!!)
Waiting in line for the train... Being the great mom I am I had forgotten Rykers jacket and blanket, so trevor was nice enough to let Ryker wear his jacket.
Here we are on the train, the ride was a lot shorter than I remembered. The Zoo has changed a ton since I have been there. I guess when you are young things just seem a whole lot different.

Leaving Ryker Over Night

This weekend is Rory's spring break and we are going to go to St. George. We have decided to leave Ryker with our parents. I think I am going to have a really hard time with it. I have never left him with anyone over night yet. so this will be the first time and it's kind of sad, even though I know we'll have a good time.
This week Ryker has been learning quite a bit. I gave him a sippy cup for the first time yestarday, and he did great. He has also learned to sit up by himself after tipping over. he is still working on crawling but so far he only goes backwards. It is amazing how fast they grow up, it is hard to believe he is 9 months already.

I have a happy Husband!

My husband has been bugging me for years to get a Big screen TV. Finally this year with a portion of our tax return I gave in. He found it on KSL.com so needless to say he was a happy camper! This thing is massive it's 61 inches. When we finish our basement that is were it's going, but Rory already says when we finish our basement it is going to be his Man Cave.... so I won't be allowed down there, but we'll just see about that....

I gave Ryker a gerber cookie the other day and he just loved it but what a mess!

Easter Sunday

Today we went to Nana and Papa's for Easter Dinner, we also celebrated my grandma's 89th birthday, which is today. It was really fun we did a small easter egg hunt for the three boys and an easter egg hunt for the older kids (20 years old and up) My mom is really funny she likes to fill the eggs with money. some of the eggs have just candy but others have dollars. It's pretty funny to see six twenty year olds running around the house like little kids. This year I won the most money, and Rory and I together got half of the total amount of money. We got some cute pictures of the grandkids and grandma and grandpa. Ryker is on the left, Trevor in the middle and Luke is on the right. The two boys are my oldest brothers kids.
